Our Mission
With urgency and compassion, let us weave a tapestry of hope across the Americas and globally, where every community becomes a beacon of health, sustainability and well-being.
We are on a mission to turn the tide against the rising waves of childhood chronic diseases, recognizing this global urgency. By fostering environments where every child can thrive, we celebrate their unique journeys, ensuring that health, education, and joy are not privileges, but rights.
Together, we're not just addressing an epidemic; we're cultivating a legacy of resilience, where today's actions pave the way for a healthier, more inclusive tomorrow for all our children.
What We Do
Early Detection and Diagnosis
Implement programs for early screening and diagnosis, which are crucial for timely interventions. Training local health workers and educators in recognizing early signs of autism and other chronic conditions can help overcome barriers to diagnosis.
Personalized Interventions
Develop or adapt interventions like Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), speech therapy, and occupational therapies that are culturally sensitive. This includes translating resources into local languages and ensuring that interventions respect cultural norms regarding child-rearing and education.
Parental and Family Support
Provide training and support for parents and caregivers, focusing on empowerment through education about autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other chronic conditions. Support groups, especially in communities where such support might be scarce, can be transformative.
Sustainability & Capacity Building
Focus on creating sustainable programs by training local professionals, which reduces dependency on external expertise and ensures continuity of care. Also, advocate for policy changes to improve healthcare infrastructure and support systems for chronic conditions.
Research
Fund research specific the Americas, which could include studies on the prevalence, unique risk factors, and effective interventions in this region. Collaborate with academic institutions to drive research while ensuring it translates into practical, community-level changes.
Education & Awareness:
Train educators, create inclusive classroom environments, and cultivate peer perceptions that prove instrumental a child´s early development. We also aim to Increase public understanding and acceptance of autism and chronic diseases through campaigns that de-stigmatize these conditions and highlight the capabilities and needs of affected individuals.
